Meet the 2025 Mentees

Christopher Ganaban

Design Focus: Graphic Design, Illustrator, 3D Modeling, Rendering

Testimonial: I think no matter which way you were directed to this program, I highly recommend it. I entered this experience with no premonitions, no expectations, just wanting to gather as much information and learn, and this program gave me more than just knowledge. It was a visceral experience, and I gained from this mentorship program more tools internal and external than what I had before. For the first rendition of this program, I enjoyed the experience, and I think future mentees would gain valuable insight from Carly.

Sierra Fulkerson

Design Focus: Graphic Design, Beauty Industry + Cross-Industry Exploration

Testimonial: I thoroughly enjoyed every call and everything I learned through the Design Latitude Mentorship. I gained confidence, improved my mockups and case studies, and received hands-on portfolio feedback from an experienced design professional. Carly also connected me with people in the beauty industry who I’m extremely grateful to have met. As a college student, this experience was invaluable in helping me grow and strengthen my skills as a designer.

Zoë Byron

Design Focus: Graphic Design, Disney, Major League & Collegiate Sports Design

Testimonial: Carly is one of the easiest people to talk to and genuinely wants to help in any way she can. She introduced me to valuable connections in the industries I want to work in and helped me gain confidence in myself by showing me why I deserved to be confident. Her support made all the difference.

Design Latitude Mentorship Program

A Mentorship Program by Carly Romano Designs

Design Latitude is a free 3-month mentorship program created to support design students and emerging creatives as they transition into the professional world.

With more than 13 years of experience as an Art Director and Graphic Designer across in-house teams, agency partnerships, and my own freelance studio, I have seen one consistent challenge: new designers often graduate with talent but not direction.

This mentorship provides clarity, support, and real-world guidance. Through monthly one-on-one sessions, portfolio reviews, creative feedback, and industry insight, mentees gain confidence, stronger work, and a better understanding of how to pursue opportunities in the design field.
